5th / 6th Grade Program (Boys)

The 5th / 6th Grade Program is designed for boys currently enrolled in 5th or 6th grade. This level focuses on refining fundamental skills while increasing emphasis on game strategy, teamwork, and competitive play in an age-appropriate environment.

✔️ No experience is necessary — new players are welcome at any level.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

• Two practices per week (weather permitting)

• Focus on skill development, game instruction, and conditioning

• Saturday games throughout the season

• Participation in two tournaments

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

April Practices (Indoor / Hybrid)

Due to early spring weather, indoor space is reserved as a backup. Practices may be indoor, outdoor, or a combination depending on conditions.

Location: Rochester Sports Garden (when indoors)

• Wednesdays

  • 4/8: 5:00 – 6:00 PM

  • 4/15, 4/22, 4/29: 5:30 – 6:30 PM

During April, indoor practices will be held one day per week if needed.

May Practices (Outdoor)

Dates: May 4 – May 31
Location: Henrietta area fields (TBD)

• Mondays & Wednesdays | 6:00 – 7:30 PM

GAMES & EVENTS

• Saturday games beginning April 18 (schedule TBD)

• Weekly games through May 31

• No games Memorial Day weekend

• Two Sunday tournaments (dates and locations TBD)

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

All players must have the following:

Required Player Equipment

• Boys lacrosse stick

• Mouth guard

Required Protective Gear

For player safety, all participants must wear:

• Helmet

• Shoulder pads / chest protector

• Elbow pads

• Gloves

These items can be purchased at local sporting goods stores such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Lacrosse Unlimited, or Play It Again Sports.

RENTAL GEAR (OPTIONAL)

A limited selection of rental equipment is available for first-year players.

Rental options (available during registration):

• Full gear set: $30

• Helmet only: $25

Rental fees help ensure proper care and return of equipment at the end of the season and allow us to continue offering rental gear to our players.

UNIFORM (REQUIRED)

Cost: $100

Uniform Numbers:
Numbers are assigned at random. Even if sizing up, specific numbers cannot be guaranteed.

Grades 1–6

An RH uniform is required.

Ordering Information (during registration):

• New Players
  We recommend sizing up so the uniform can be worn for more than one season. New players will purchase the uniform bundle during registration.
  
  

Returning Players
Please try on your current uniform before registering to determine if any pieces need to be replaced due to growth.
All four uniform pieces are required; however, you may only need to size up for certain items. Individual pieces can be purchased separately during registration as needed.

This program prepares players for the next level of lacrosse by emphasizing skill execution, game awareness, and teamwork, all while maintaining a positive and supportive team environment. 🥍
