2024-25 GIRLS WINTER INDOOR TRAINING

Designed for girls currently enrolled in grades k - 6, this program consists of skill development, game instruction and conditioning. No experience is necessary and all new players are welcome to join at any level. This is a great way to check out lacrosse if you've never played or to dust off those cobwebs for those of you who haven't played since the spring. This program is broken down into the following levels:

Kindergarten - Girls currently in Kindergarten,
1/2 - Girls currently enrolled in 1st and 2nd grade
3/4 - Girls currently in 3rd and 4th grades
5/6 - Girls currently in 5th and 6th grades

November 4th - January 3rd will consist of weekly training. January 6th - March 6th will be continued weekly training as well as Saturday league play. The entirety of the season will run November 6th - March 6th.


REGISTRATION DETAILS:

***Registration will be open to Rush-Henrietta Residents ONLY. Registration will open OCTOBER 4th - NOVEMBER 2nd***

Rush-Henrietta Youth Lacrosse programs are grade-based.

Players are not permitted to play with Rush Henrietta Youth Lacrosse teams above or below their current grade level

Program Registration fee: $375 includes 4 MONTHS of lacrosse!!! 18 weekly indoor practices and Saturday League Play (8 games plus playoffs).

***Split payment option available. First payment due during registration, second payment due by November 22nd, third payment due January 10th, and final payment due February 7th.


***USA Lacrosse Membership:

$35 - anyone 22 years or younger
This is required in order to participate in any RH Youth Lacrosse Program

A USA Lacrosse membership will only be purchased ONE TIME per calendar year. For the duration of your players year long membership you will be required to enter their USA Lacrosse ID number during the registration process. This yearly membership insures your player wherever they play lacrosse. Additionally, there are many other benefits to take advantage of as a parent and for your player.

The USA Lacrosse Membership ID number will be needed in order to complete your program registration.

PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH LEAGUE PLAY ROSTER MAXIMUMS, THERE IS A LIMITED ROSTER AVAILABLE FOR LEAGUE PLAY. REGISTRATION WILL BE A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Once the maximum roster has been met, you will be placed on a waiting list. Should a player on the roster decide not to participate, you will be moved off the waiting list in the order in which your registration was received. You will also be offered the opportunity (and prorated fee) to participate in training practices only. These roster limitations are based on requirements put in place by The Athletic Campus, who coordinate and are home to the league games.


PRACTICE INFORMATION:

All practices will be held at: Rochester Sports Garden, Henrietta, NY.

Practices times will be as follows:

1/2 Team - WEDNESDAY 5:00- 6:00 pm

3/4 Team - MONDAYS 5:00- 6:00 pm

5/6 Team - THURSDAYS 5:00-6:30 pm


Please note: NO CLEATS are allowed on the turf fields at RSG. You MUST wear sneakers or turf shoes only.


Practices will begin on November 4th, first league games will be in January after the new year. League schedule information will be shared as it is it received from The Athletic Campus.

If you are interested in playing and do not have equipment please sign up for equipment and pay the associated rental fee.

If you are a returning player, please bring all equipment with you as well as a water bottle

***NO CLEATS are allowed on the brand new turf fields at Regional Sports Center. You MUST wear sneakers or turf shoes only!

GAME INFORMATION:

The games will be played at The Athletic Campus 3195 Brighton Henrietta TL Rd. Rochester, NY 14623.

All league games will be played on Saturdays from January 6th, 2024 - March 9th, 2024

EQUIPMENT INFORMATION:

Required Equipment: Goggles, mouth guard, and full size girls stick are required to participate (please see the image below).

***There are significant differences between a girls lacrosse stick and boys lacrosse stick. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

All players must provide their own gear unless renting full gear.

Equipment Rental Program: 

Our equipment rental program is for anyone NEW to the sport or anyone at the UPK/K or 1/2 level.

*Given our limited selection of rental equipment, we request that seasoned players from the 3/4 and 5/6 levels come to the field with their own equipment.

We have a limited selection of equipment (goggles and sticks) available to rent. You can select items needed and pay for them at the end of the on-line registration process. In order to help maintain the safety and quality of our equipment, there will be a rental fee of $30 for a full set of equipment (goggles and stick) OR $20 for a stick only OR $10 for the goggles only.

PURCHASING EQUIPMENT:

There are many options when it comes to purchasing lacrosse equipment. We highly recommend checking out Dick's Sporting Goods, Lacrosse Unlimited or Play it Again Sports for your equipment. Please make sure any new or used equipment you purchase meets the latest NOCSAE standards.
