WHO

Girls in UPK through 6th Grade
✔️ No experience necessary — new players are welcome at every level!

WHAT

A fun and developmentally appropriate balance of skill instruction and competition, with an emphasis on learning, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• Two practices per week (weather permitting)
• Weekend games for grades 1–6
• Instructional and competitive opportunities appropriate to age and experience

WHEN

Registration Dates: January 23rd - March 1st

Season Dates: Week of April 6th – May 31st

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Weather & Field Conditions

Due to typical Rochester Spring weather, indoor space at the Rochester Sports Garden is reserved as a backup option. Our goal is always to get outdoors as soon as possible, but early-season practices may be indoor, outdoor, or a hybrid of both, depending on weather and field conditions.

We work closely with the town and school district to protect field quality and will stay off fields when they are too wet. We appreciate your flexibility early in the season as significant coordination happens behind the scenes to ensure safe, high-quality practice environments for players and coaches.

Indoor practices, when needed, will be held one day per week and communicated by coaches.

Indoor Practices (April 6 – April 29)

UPK / Kindergarten

• Mondays | 5:30 – 6:30 PM

1st / 2nd Grade

• Mondays | 5:30 – 6:30 PM
  • Dates: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27

3rd / 4th Grade

• Mondays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Dates: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27

5th / 6th Grade

• 4/6: Monday | 5:00 – 6:00 PM
• 4/15, 4/22, 4/29: Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM

Outdoor Practices (March 23 – June 1)

Location: Henrietta area fields (TBD)

UPK / Kindergarten

• Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM

1st / 2nd Grade

• Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM

3rd / 4th Grade

• Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:15 PM

5th / 6th Grade

• Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:30 PM

GAMES & EVENTS

Grades 1–6

• Saturday games beginning April 17th (schedule TBD)
• Weekly games through May 31
• No games Memorial Day weekend
• Two Sunday tournaments (dates and locations TBD)

UPK / Kindergarten

• A few friendly Saturday scrimmages
• Scrimmages may be held on Saturdays or during a practice night
• Schedule TBD

EQUIPMENT & UNIFORMS

Required Equipment (UPK–6th Grade)

All players must have:

• Girls' lacrosse stick
• Mouth guard
• Goggles or helmet

Uniforms (required)

Uniform Includes:

• Jersey
  

• Pinnie
  

• Shorts
  

• Shooter shirt

Cost: $100

Uniform Numbers:
Numbers are assigned at random. Even if sizing up, specific numbers cannot be guaranteed.

UPK / Kindergarten

Uniforms are optional. An optional uniform purchase will be available during registration. Players who do not purchase a uniform will be provided with a pinnie to borrow for the season

Grades 1–6

An RH uniform is required.

Ordering Information (during registration):

• New Players
  We recommend sizing up so the uniform can be worn for more than one season. New players will purchase the uniform bundle during registration.
  
  

Returning Players
Please try on your current uniform before registering to determine if any pieces need to be replaced due to growth.
All four uniform pieces are required; however, you may only need to size up for certain items. Individual pieces can be purchased separately during registration as needed.

Rental Gear

Rental gear is available during registration for:

• UPK–2nd Grade players
• Any first-year player in grades 3–6

Rental fees help ensure proper care and return of equipment at the end of the season and allow us to continue offering rental gear to our players.

COST

UPK / Kindergarten

• FREE
• Includes two practices per week and friendly scrimmages

Grades 1–6

• $100 includes:
  • Two practices per week
  • Weekly Saturday games (4/17 – 5/31)
  • Two tournaments

Payment Plan Available

• First payment due at registration
• Second payment due April 10th

Note: A 5% processing fee will be added at checkout.

USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP (REQUIRED)

• Cost: $35
• Required for all players 22 years old or younger
• Must be completed before program registration
• Purchased once per calendar year and provides coverage for all lacrosse participation
